I’ve edited a clip from an interview (see entire segment) conducted with Alan Greenspan on the FOX Business network shortly after publishing, The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World.
Special thanks to Pat Cloud for allowing rogue pirates like myself to share this rendition of Django Reinhardt’s, Douce Ambiance (‘Soft Envirnonment’) with the world’s ’intelligentsia’.

You have to hand it to Greenspan. He has consistently held that we would be better off with a gold standard instead of the Fed, even while he was working there.
If you’re actually cognizant of the magnitude of power which the Federal Reserve both possesses and exerts over the United States’ government and its people, the ambiguity of stated positions like these hold little or no meaning.
“Remember, we live in a democratic society and compromise is the very essence of a democratic society . . .”
huh?
